Chona Laureta is a veteran chef with years of focused work in pastry arts, Filipino cuisine, and Middle Eastern cooking. Her career in the food industry started after completing a Computer Engineering degree, a path she eventually set aside to pursue her growing interest in food. She completed her pastry studies at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM) and continued expanding her expertise through workshops at leading culinary institutions such as Heny Sison Culinary School, Sylvia Reynoso Gala Culinary School, and Maya Culinary School. Training in Vietnam and Bangkok further broadened her skills.

Her teaching career started gaining public attention in 2019 when she conducted her first class with The Bailiwick Academy. Today, she remains an active instructor and certified Trainer’s Methodology 1 (TM1) holder under TESDA. Her cooking studio, Aprons & Mitts Baking and Kitchen Lab, established in 2015, stands as a venue for both aspiring and experienced cooks to learn practical techniques built on real industry experience.

Media outlets consistently feature her as a consultant, demonstrator, and resource speaker. She appears on programs aired on GMA, ABS-CBN, UNTV, NET25, DOSTv, and CNN Philippines. Her expertise also supports brands such as Braun Household Philippines, Sugar King Food Industries Inc., and Bella Vita Espresso.
